A corner sofa is not simply a bigger sofa. Why corner sofas dry unevenly — and what we do about it
The classic corner sofa failure is a tide line down the join between two modules. It happens because each module is cleaned in isolation, dries at its own rate, and the edges wick soil differently. The result is a visible seam of colour running through what should be one continuous surface.
The fix is sequencing. We clean across the join rather than up to it, keep moisture consistent across every panel, and finish the whole piece before any section has had time to start drying. On a large U-shape that means a continuous working pass rather than stopping for a cup of tea halfway.
Recliner corners add another wrinkle. The mechanism housing traps dust and the footrest fabric only sees daylight when extended, so it is often a completely different colour from the seat. We open every action, clean the hidden faces, and leave the mechanism to dry open so damp fabric is not folded onto damp fabric.

We price corner sofas by seat count, not by guesswork. Count the seat cushions — the ones you actually sit on — and include the corner as one. A common London layout is a three-seat run, a corner wedge and a two-seat return, which is six seats, and that is the number we need.
If the sofa has a chaise end rather than a return, count the chaise as two. Scatter cushions are separate and cheap. Send a photo on WhatsApp taken from the doorway with the whole piece in frame and we will count it for you and come back with a price, usually within the hour.
