Fulham has more pale upholstery per street than anywhere else we work. Cream, oatmeal, light grey and off-white are the SW6 palette, and pale fabric is honest in a way darker fabric is not — it shows arm-top soiling, head-rest marks and every ring from a wet glass, and it shows them early.

The classic SW6 house is a narrow two-storey Victorian terrace, often with a side return extension and a knocked-through ground floor.
